The best part of the stay was finally leaving. Unfortunately, we had a horrible experience. The reception area had an intense cigarette smell. The room was very hot and the air‑conditioner only worked on heating. To cope with the heat we had to keep the window open, which brought in mosquitoes. Above the bed, where the extra bed was, there was a bad mold smell. The bathroom had maintenance issues: the shower support was broken, the main shower was hard to use, and the shower door didn’t close properly, letting water splash onto the floor. We had to use towels to dry the bathroom. The facilities and access areas showed clear signs of wear and poor upkeep. We understand it’s an old building, but that doesn’t excuse the lack of maintenance and comfort. We wanted to leave, but because we had already paid through the platform, the extra costs and hassle of finding another place forced us to stay. Two nights were extremely uncomfortable. The price didn’t match the conditions offered. The listing photos should have been more faithful to reality. After our experience, we saw that many other guests had reported similar problems. If we’d paid more attention to those reviews, we would have chosen somewhere else. We think the platform should check accommodations more rigorously, especially regarding maintenance, comfort, and photo accuracy. We do not recommend it and would never return.
