The owner gave a warm, attentive welcome and kept the place spotless, adding a real charm. The breakfast was excellent and the evening meals were a delight. The stairs to the rooms are a bit narrow and uneven, which makes lugging luggage a little tough. A kettle or tea maker in the room would be handy for evenings when the restaurant is closed. The location sits right on a road, so the traffic noise sometimes kept us from opening the windows.

The breakfast was customized to taste and the manager was friendly. The room, tucked under a sloping roof and without air‑conditioning, was a challenge during those hot nights; next time we’ll book an air‑conditioned room earlier.

This place is lovingly designed and run. The rooms are incredibly cozy. The breakfast is great, the mattresses are super comfortable, and it’s perfect for day trips to Lake Constance, the surrounding towns, and the sights in Salem itself. The owner deserves a special shout‑out 🤗

Die großzügigen Zimmer, die Sauberkeit, die persönliche, fast familiäre Betreuung. Die etwas steile Treppe zu den Zimmern ist für Menschen mit Geh- oder Sehbeeinträchtigung weniger geeignet
