“Look before you go. Improving, but missing some very important details and trying to be too frugal.”
The beds were very comfortable and clean, and the main part of the rooms had been refurbished and looked newer and decent. Future bathroom upgrades would help if the price stays the same, but they didn’t apply to my stay. The first room I was in was obviously not cleaned or prepped: the floor needed mopping, there was a crusty stain that looked like blood or food, black mold in the caulk and on the ceiling, the toilet paper was almost out with no spare, and the shampoo samples were half used. The second room’s chairs were beat up and disgusting with stains, the floor felt like it had a thin layer of dirty water, and there was only a little dusty feeling. The mini‑fridge ice box was frozen over. The shampoo samples were more full but had no seal, so I suspect they were just refilled rather than replaced. The second room was offered as a more expensive “Mountain View” room, but it was not any better than the first and actually noisier because it faced the street. I didn’t see the Mountain View mentioned, but that wasn’t a concern or priority for me.
