I would highly recommend this spot if you want to explore the Maramures wooden churches, though there are very few dinner options in the village.

“nice location in the heart of the historical Maramures region.”

The architecture of the property mixes traditional style with modern comforts, and the apartment offers a lovely terrace. However, the apartment isn’t split into two separate rooms; one of the two beds was just a mattress on the floor, and the photos didn’t make it clear that the kitchen is shared with other guests. Luckily we were the only ones staying there, so it didn’t bother us, but the listing should state that the kitchen is a shared facility and avoid photos that could mislead guests.

“Lovely stay in Maramures”

This place is truly special: the exterior looks like an old traditional Maramuresan house, but inside it’s fully modern. The rooms are spacious and spotless, and there’s a large kitchen and a resting area that’s well equipped—you could stay there for weeks. I especially liked the professional coffee machine for fresh coffee. The hosts were very friendly and always reachable by phone, and there’s a parking lot available. The accommodation is in a village near Barsana monastery, so I highly recommend it if you want to stay in the heart of Maramures in a very green setting.

“Bella, ma...”

The house itself is gorgeous, but the quadruple room we got wasn’t really fit for four adults; the loft area only had two mattresses on the floor, no wardrobe, no lights or sockets, and it was hard to reach.

“Un lugar muy agrable, tranquilo y bien cuidado.”

The kitchen is well equipped and the garden has a dining area with a barbecue and oven. The house sits in a very quiet setting. The staff are very attentive and friendly, everything is clean and well maintained. The room is small and offers no space to store things. The bathroom is tiny and the shower splashes onto the floor.
