The location was great, especially since we were there for the Hawkes Bay Rally and had an early start in the Wairoa area; no complaints.

I stayed close to the motel and already knew it from previous visits, so it was convenient.
It worked well for last‑minute lodging, but the beds were very soft and the single beds were on wheels, which was annoying. The shower had mould all over the head, the side was taped together, and there was no extractor fan.

We were disappointed that we couldn’t stream Netflix or YouTube because the TV didn’t support upgrades, and there was no frying pan or oven dish for cooking. Other than that, the stay was pleasant, the staff were friendly, and the price was reasonable 😊
