We were greeted quite nicely and got into our room early, but the bed was a nightmare – I ended up with over 60 bites from an infestation and the staff acted as if I was imagining it. When I asked for compensation they started haggling, refused to refund the night’s cost and even threatened legal action if I posted a review, claiming the bites might have come from a procession caterpillar in early May or from my own long‑used detergent. They said they had already disinfected the room and other guests had slept there, but one round of spraying didn’t solve anything because I brought the bugs home and had to treat them again. Stay away.

I loved the classic vibe of the place, it felt just right for a relaxed stay.

The photos made the property look way cuter than it actually was; the floors creaked, the shower lacked a curtain and the shower head was awkwardly high, the tub had no drain, the heating wasn’t turned on before I arrived, and when I checked out early the manager tried to argue with me even though I didn’t ask for a refund.

This quaint spot is right on the main road, but the modern bath and comfy beds make up for it; the owner‑run reception was super friendly, the hotel links directly into the restaurant and also has a back entrance; the area itself isn’t packed with things, but you’ll know that ahead of time, there’s a Lidl 500 m away, a bus stop right outside, and the U‑bahn (U Wutzkyallee) is a 15‑minute walk.
