It felt like a dream; we were alone in the hotel and the service was first‑class. We were pampered, the refined cuisine was of outstanding quality with a sophisticated selection that couldn’t be topped. The pool was dreamy, the grounds and garden were generally very well kept, and the impressive, perfectly balanced interior was unbeatable. The very friendly manager gave us an intriguing tour of the hotel’s own herb, spice, fruit and vegetable garden, showing us how cinnamon sticks are harvested and peeled from the tree. A real experience. The hotel is actually off‑Kandy, but the location is wonderful for enjoying this unique place. If our path ever leads us back to Sri Lanka, this gem will be our first choice. An absolute hidden gem for connoisseurs. Nothing to complain about—everything was top.
