It’s well located, the breakfast is decent, and the staff were friendly. Overall it’s comfortable, though they could leave the beds made.
A great hostel with committed young people.
Nous avons apprécié le style "auberge de jeunesse", l'ambiance nature, simple, détente. Ça colle avec notre philosophie de vie. Absolument rien 🤗
It was a very basic accommodation. The bathrooms need to be renovated. The value for money was excellent, and the breakfast was simple but good.
“Be careful booking a dorm room”
The spot is right on the lake, but the side I stayed on doesn’t get sun until after noon. Still, it’s a quick walk to town or the opposite side of the lake, and you can rent a kayak or SUP for a decent price to cruise around. Breakfast was generous and filling, and the staff were warm and eager to help. I booked two dorm rooms, yet neither check‑in had a dorm available. The first time I was handed a family room with one bunk and one double bed, and I was told I’d share a double with a stranger. After speaking to reception, I was moved to a single room that shared a bathroom with another guest, who apparently didn’t know it was shared and left the toilet in a mess, piling their bags against my door so I couldn’t leave. For the second stay I asked for a private room with a private bathroom and was told I’d be upgraded at no extra cost, so I was excited. Instead, I was told I’d be sharing a private room with another person. The lady I shared with was lovely, but there was black mould on the walls and ceilings, and if the window and balcony door were closed, condensation would build up. I left feeling very disappointed, as it seems they over‑book dorms and then slot overflow guests into family or twin rooms that weren’t booked.
