Amazing place…wonderful view from the room, outstanding host, very good breakfast…and the main highlight was the morning tour to the mall located on the farm grounds…nature is perhaps the most beautiful in Iceland.

The hotel feels brand‑new and beautifully decorated, and the staff treated us fantastically; as a group of ten, we all left thrilled after two days. It sits in a secluded, idyllic setting that’s simply gorgeous!

Jón welcomed us warmly and even supplied a kettle for the room later on. The room was spotless and modern. With a good view, the chance of seeing the Northern Lights was real, and we did – it was stunning! The breakfast buffet is small but covers everything you need (toast, muesli, cheese, sausage, fruit, eggs, juice, coffee). I’ll definitely book again.

We stayed four nights at the end of our intense Iceland tour to have a “base” for a relaxed Golden Circle and the Highlands (Landmannalaugar about two hours away). It was surprising! Jon, the owner of the property and the adjacent valley, is exceptional, helpful, always smiling, and offered a couple of ideas for the two rainy days (go to Laugaras Lagoon a few km away). His passion is enviable. It’s a small gem tucked into Icelandic nature. The room was comfortable, breakfast with a view of “immense green” was excellent. It’s a pity there isn’t a shared kitchen yet – the place deserves it, even in the rain! If you have time, let Jon guide you on a hike in his personal canyon up the valley. Unforgettable! Thanks Jon! We’ll gladly return.
