From the room you could see the volcano Pico and the beds were very comfortable, but the photos posted online did not reflect what our room actually looked like.

The room, along with the bathroom, was spacious and spotless; positioned at the back, it was very quiet, and on clear days we could spot Ponta do Pico, Portugal's highest mountain, for an impressive view. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the village of Madalena is about a 15‑20 minute walk away, with a scenic seaside road nearby, so getting around wasn't a problem. Free parking was available in front of and beside the building, and we appreciated the early check‑in. The hosts were reachable at the reception or by phone or doorbell. I would definitely recommend this place. The downside is that the back rooms have no balcony, though this isn't a major issue; front rooms do have balconies, offering sea and Faial island views, but traffic noise can be heard from there.

The room turned out larger than expected and was incredibly cozy, with a balcony offering an amazing ocean view. Parking was right in front of the hotel and the natural pool was just across the street. The staff were great, and next time I’d pick a room with a small kitchen, but overall it was a perfect stay!

The place was very tidy and clean. It’s a bit farther from the city centre, so you’ll have to walk twice a day unless you have a car.
