The staff were friendly and the food was good, but the bed wasn’t very comfortable.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was large, plus the breakfast was very good. Outside noises from the windows in my room were distracting, so I had to keep them fully shut; fortunately the weather wasn’t too hot that night.

The place was warm and welcoming.

It felt like a hometown spot, ideal for a function, with plenty of food and good stopping points; everything was always pleasant. I have no real complaints, though plain duvets might look more stylish. It always reminds me of my holiday digs from when I was younger.
