The breakfast offered mini muffins that were not hot, the coffee was surprisingly good and hot, but there was no non‑dairy creamer and the mini muffins were lacking.

There was no soap or toothpaste for bathing, and when I called they said I had to come down, which was crazy and came with a bad attitude.

“I felt unsafe and dirty in this place”

It was fairly convenient to Skokie where I was visiting, but the room smelled awful and dirty—unclear if it was unclean, musty, or from dogs staying there, the smell was terrible, with many unrepaired dings in the walls and other issues; towels had hair that wasn’t mine, staff were unhelpful and unfriendly, breakfast was terrible, despite signs outside saying not to smoke near the entrance, people kept smoking right by the front door, the place felt unsafe at night with doors wide open and no staff present, anyone could walk in, and many guests seemed sketchy, possibly indicating it’s also used as a subsidized rental.

There should be ice available. Also a coffee machine with complementary coffee in the room. I paid $535 for 2 nights and had to leave my room both mornings just to get coffee
