“Accomodatie ok, gastvrouw zeer onplezierig”
The room was clean and the bathroom was nice. The garden was pleasant with a clean, warm pool. The rating was mainly influenced by the host’s behavior. Upon arrival we were told we hadn’t mentioned having a 3‑year‑old child, so we should have booked an extra room. It was completely unclear why a couple with a 3‑year‑old toddler should book an extra room. Then we received a much smaller room than booked. It was about 30 °C because the sun had been on the windows all day and the blinds weren’t closed. It was far from ideal, and I found the situation bizarre, but the most disappointing was the post‑arrival communication with the host. When I asked why we paid for the larger room but got a smaller one, she was blunt and threatened to report us as fraudsters. That was the end of it. There are better, more unique accommodations in the area. Next time we’ll drive around instead.
