“This hotel is located in the new part of Kashgar, not the old town”
The hotel was pretty comfy, but the name can be a bit misleading - the "approval bureau" for trips to Tashkurgan is actually a fair distance away.

This hotel's got a really modern feel and super comfy rooms. It's not in the heart of the action, but taxis are cheap and can get you anywhere in 15 minutes or less - the old city, train station, and even Wanda Plaza with all its food joints are all within reach. The free laundry room was a nice touch. That being said, I had a few gripes - no safe in the room, no fridge, and those automated curtains were a bit of a pain.

The room, location, and breakfast were all good, but the staff didn't speak a word of English which made things tricky. And when they came to clean the room, they didn't even bother to empty the ashtray or take away my empty glasses.

The staff here were absolute stars - friendly, helpful, and spoke great English. The hotel's in a peaceful spot, but still close enough to the old town to get in easily by taxi. The room was small but did the job, and I loved the free coffee and juice in the lobby. Breakfast was a mixed bag, but the restaurant was a highlight - great food and a fun atmosphere with live music.
