“The best stay of my entire trip to Japan!”
I had a fantastic stay at Shirakawago Guest House Kei! It’s about a 15–20 minute walk from the bus terminal and the centre of Shirakawa-go, but the walk goes by so quickly because the scenery is absolutely stunning. The staff were super friendly and the beds in the dorm were really comfortable. Each bed has a curtain for privacy, as well as its own light and power outlet. I also loved the porch, such a nice place to sit, relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. It had been quite a while since I last stayed in a hostel or guesthouse, but this was absolutely worth it. I met so many great fellow travellers here, which made the experience even better. I can definitely recommend staying here and would absolutely come back!. Wish I stayed longer!
On se sent tout de suite à l’aise, l’accueil est convivial et chaleureux ! Les lits ( dortoir ) sont hypers conforts et spacieux Je regrette qu’on ne soit restés qu’une nuit !

“Excellent place for backpackers!”
Very friendly and relaxed place, nice community atmosphere and a beautiful house and location. Very helpful friendly host and facilities perfectly suited for backpackers, e.g. charging cables, sightseeing info, shuttle service, Snacks shop, good soundproofing of bunkroom. The air con motor seemed to cause a constant booming/vibration of the walls around the bathroom.?
