How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The location was good, the room was clean, and the pool was nice. There’s no coffee pot in the rooms, no alarm clocks or Bibles, and no laundry bag for dirty clothes. It’s a smoke‑free hotel, yet workers were smoking outside the cleaning rooms. The TV behaved erratically—turning on, off, on again, off again. Days Inn used to be a top pick, but it’s not any longer.

The hotel that was advertised simply doesn’t exist. It claimed to be downtown Helen, GA, but it’s actually 2 miles out of town, at a Red Roof Inn. The property apparently moved and the listing wasn’t updated. Phone support was useless because no one spoke English well enough to help. After driving 45 minutes we finally found the place, and the front desk staff argued with us over the confirmation, showing us a different website and a different address as if we should have booked elsewhere. We cancelled and found a lovely hotel in town instead. The place was listed as a hotel but turned out to be a motel that was very unpleasant and didn’t match the photos.

The hotel sits in a quiet spot near downtown, and the room was spotless and cozy; the staff were welcoming, and the breakfast was tasty, though a swarm of insects outside the room made the stay a bit annoying, probably unavoidable because of the wooded surroundings.

The location is convenient and the staff are friendly, and the price is reasonable, but the room suffered from mold in the shower and hair, sticky and dirty floors, visible grime, a lot of dust, and something growing in the air‑conditioning unit, giving off a very humid and musty feel.
