“Friendly staff and a stunning Siheyuan stay”
The staff were super friendly, and the rooms were set up in a Siheyuan – a traditional Chinese courtyard house. It was just gorgeous.
“Pingyao’s best: gorgeous, service‑perfect”
The whole place – buildings, rooms, restaurant – looks amazing and feels historic. Breakfast was plenty, service flawless. Julie arranged a car for us to explore the area and everything ran smoothly. If you’re heading to Pingyao, this is the spot.
“Wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff”
The vibe was amazing, right in a fantastic spot, and the staff were incredibly friendly.
“Historic charm, but transfer fee a letdown”
Staying in a historic building right in the city walls was a treat. Rooms were clean, staff polite and helpful, breakfast unlimited but not that varied, and the room was roomy with a comfy bed. The only hiccup: we had to pay for the transfer from the station to the hotel – could have been included given the price.
“Beautiful, friendly, a bit pricey”
The place is gorgeous, the room big and comfy, staff super kind. They were one of the few that handed us a map and explained all the must‑see spots. Everything was well kept, breakfast great, beds super comfy. The only downside might be the price compared to other spots, but we get that a special location comes at a cost.
