Nothing. First room window was broken. Then the elevator broke down with me trapped inside swaped room and there was no remote for tv no kettle and the roof was leaking all night. Breakfast was included in our booking but the hotel staff decided they was not doing breakfast that day. After a discussion with staff and outher guests they then decided they would do us all breakfast but we could only have sausage scrambled egg and hash brown regardless whether people liked it . Nobody ate the breakfast tho due to it being stone cold . However the hotel did offer me 30%off our next stay due the two rooms not being not fit to stay in and getting trapped in the elevator to witch I replied we would not stay there again for free. On the booking .com site it shows they have a shop in the hotel and a bar but they didn't exist
“Good value”
The staff were lovely and there was no real trouble. The location is great for walking through the Blackpool illuminations, and the value for money is very good. The place was spotlessly clean with good toiletries. We didn’t have a view from the back, but for the price and everything else being so good, that wasn’t a problem.
They could have done a bit more for breakfast; my partner had the English fry‑up and tea, and I had two slices of toast and tea. I would have liked fruit, a weetabox, or granola, but overall it was nice considering the new owners are very welcoming and polite and would do anything that was no bother to make customers happy. This is my second year staying here and I’ll be back next year, looking forward to their bar being up and running by then. Keep up the good work guys, what you’ve done so far is brilliant and looks very nice. The only negative was the cups in the room were too small ☺️.
“The worst hotel I have ever stayed in just awful”
The welcome was friendly until I was told I had to pay £20 at 2 pm for check‑in, even though they said it was 3 pm and nothing in my booking mentioned it. Then they claimed we hadn’t booked breakfast, even though it was advertised as included, and they made me prove it on my receipt—just the beginning. The rooms were too hot with no air‑conditioning, and they ran an Indian buffet from 3 pm to 9.30 pm open to the public; the place smelled awful, the view from the bedroom window was a smashed egg and dirty bucket mess. There were two or three flies in each room and the TV didn’t work; they promised to fix it, but when I asked again they were eating their own buffet and then told me we could have breakfast, which would be eggs, chicken sausage, and tomatoes—no bacon. It seemed run by Asians who didn’t cater for anyone else, just themselves, which was pretty awful. We left after three hours because we could’t stand the smell or heat any longer.
The beds were comfy and the view was nice, but banging pipes and radiators woke me up twice during the night. No one was at reception to speak to in the morning.
