Hotel Consuelo

Breakfast was good but limited in variety. The lounge chairs were uncomfortable. The coffee machines were poorly maintained and dirty.

The location and friendly staff were good. I missed hooks or towel bars for hanging towels, a small selection of sweets for breakfast, a bathroom fan that screamed, and there was no lack of guests knocking on doors in the morning when they ran to or returned from breakfast, hallway chatter, and kids running around.

The kitchen was excellent, the service pleasant, and daily cleaning was done.

The location and room cleanliness were high quality. There was no garage; parking had to be found on the street.

“Sicuramente non ci torneremo”

It was close to the event we had to attend. The staff were not customer‑focused upon arrival, offering little flexibility because “we close tomorrow.” We had a first‑floor room and immediately after the elevator there was an unpleasant toilet smell. A section of the wall below the TV was peeling with moisture bubbles. The room kit that all four‑star hotels provide—slippers, shower head cover, body lotion in a tiny tin, etc.—was missing. Breakfast was very disappointing; the sweet items were bad and the coffee shop even worse. We had to redo breakfast when we left. When we checked out, the receptionist didn’t even look up to say goodbye. A disaster! 100 € was truly wasted.
