“Pleasant”
Nice room, but checking in was a hassle, the door didn’t lock properly, and the Wi‑Fi was awful.

The room was a good size, had a comfy bed, and was clean. The lights at the top of the stairs were too dim in the evening, so I feared falling because I rely on crutches as a disabled person. There was no heating the entire time I stayed, the smart TV wasn’t connected to the internet so I couldn’t use it, and the Wi‑Fi signal was very poor.

The staff were extremely helpful; when a maintenance issue popped up with our room, they arranged for us to stay at their sister hotel in Lomond Hills, even offering free breakfast and access to the leisure facilities, which was very thoughtful. We arrived early for a friend’s wedding, so they stored our bags for us and then moved them to our room when we returned at 1 am. The stay was clean and comfortable, and despite being short on staff, they did everything they could to make it seamless. The only downside was that during breakfast there was a fire‑safety training session happening in the same room, which some guests found odd; I wasn’t too bothered, but it was noticeable. Also, there was no hairdryer in our room—just one for the whole hotel—which was disappointing, though overall it was a great stay.

The worst accommodation I’ve ever stayed in. The radiator didn’t work, leaving the room cold for two nights before it was fixed. The entrance door wouldn’t open even when I pushed it hard. The shower had very low water pressure and some holes didn’t release water. No room cleaning or towel changes occurred during my four‑night stay. The shower had mould, the room was generally very dirty and poorly cleaned, the towel rack was filthy, and the bin contained sand and dirt. A spider entered through a gap in the door. Loud shouting and bass‑heavy music from the lobby bar continued past midnight, making sleep impossible; the noise stopped around 12:30 a.m. after someone angrily confronted the loud guests. I received a reply about the entrance door three hours after reporting it; staff later said it could get stuck and needed to be pushed hard, but that didn’t work. Despite repeatedly reporting the bar noise, no effective action was taken and there was no follow‑up the next day. Similar issues had been reported in previous reviews, yet the same problems persist. Poor cleanliness, faulty facilities, excessive noise, and inadequate staff response made this an extremely unpleasant stay. I strongly recommend choosing somewhere else.

Great location for attending events, though I was a bit tired; overall the place was clean.
