Hotel Restaurant Jonkhans

“Staff were lovely and very accommodating. The menu for the evening was extensive and the food was both plentiful and tas”

The 2‑bedroom suite was spacious enough for three people and our dog Destination, and there was plenty of on‑site parking. The staff were welcoming and made our dog feel at home. However, the suite had an old mattress and an old hanging rail, and the bathroom, though large, had weak shower water pressure and only one toilet, which could be awkward for four people.

“Schmutziges Zimmer, kaum Privatsphäre”

Even though we checked out well after breakfast time, the host offered us breakfast, which was kind. There were blood stains on the bed, black mold in the poorly ventilated bathroom that smelled bad, a dirty trash bin, many stains on the carpet and chair, and the room had not been renovated for decades. Sleep was nearly impossible: dogs barked constantly at night and the staff knocked on our door every hour before check‑out, even though we asked not to be disturbed—there was no “do not disturb” sign. The price was far too high for what was offered.

The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful, and the breakfast was decent and sufficient. The bedding was a bit worn, and there was a burn mark at the back of the bed.
