How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The heritage building and its contents are amazing and authentic, preserving originality. Crowds from tours during the day constantly enter guests’ private areas to take photos, making it not very relaxing or peaceful. It’s very noisy, with loud music at night from other hotels.

The staff genuinely tried their best to provide a positive experience and were clearly committed to ensuring their guests were happy, but at MYR 1,100 per night the overall experience falls short. A beautiful historic property with nicely designed rooms and common areas, yet the furniture is uncomfortable, breakfast below expectations, and service inconsistent. Used dishes, room‑service trolleys, rubbish bags and maintenance equipment stayed visible in the back‑of‑house area outside our room for sometimes over 24 hours. Large tour groups visited all day, some even entering private guest areas while staff failed to intervene, seriously compromising our privacy. The pool was murky, the lounge had a serious mosquito problem, and even after three days the gate staff did not recognise us as guests. The property is special and the staff mean well, but the service, privacy and upkeep do not justify the price.

Everything was absolutely perfect—the architecture, the complimentary mansion tour, the friendly staff, the incredible food, and the super comfy bed in an incredible room. Nothing to criticize, we loved it completely.
