The place looks exactly like the photos: a charming rustic cabin with a cute yard. The host was very kind and gave good recommendations. It’s spacious and the location is great for driving the Transfăgărășan. It was a bit cold at night; heating relies on wood from outside, so it can get chilly when the fire dies down. The heated towel rack in the bathroom didn’t work during our stay. There’s a friendly resident cat that likes to come inside, and we had to spend some time getting it to leave our room, which future guests might want to know.

A nice green spot, calm for sleeping. The host is very helpful and gave me tips for nearby activities (speaks a bit English and we used Google Translate). It’s a great place for spotting bears at the lake before dark. There’s a small kitchen with free tea and coffee. Water drips somewhere below the shower; the issue is known but not fixed yet. A net for the bathroom window would help, as I had a huge, not dangerous spider in the bathroom.

The house and garden look stunning, everything is spotless, and the barbecue area is great.

Ideal for bikers, with parking right outside the room door, a spacious green yard to relax after riding or for families to let kids play, a simple kitchen, outdoor seating that can be used for grilling, and a very friendly host who’s ready to chat and give tips about Romania; I’d definitely return on our next Transfagarasan bike trip.
