“Fresh air getaway”
The owners are super friendly and helpful, and they even guided me through a location mismatch on Google Maps; my Tuk Tuk driver knew the way too, so no worries. They offer free Wi‑Fi, snacks, and the option to cook for you or book tours, plus there are four swimming pools on a huge property. The fresh air after El Nido was nice, breakfast was great, and they let you refill water bottles. On the downside, the remoteness can be a pro or a con; I don’t ride a motorcycle, but the owner offered to drive me if needed. Families sometimes use the space for birthday parties or karaoke, which can be noisy—Saturday evening had roosters and geckos, but the next night was peaceful. The last night the sink water smelled bad, so I closed the door and ventilated the bathroom; the owner would have fixed it if I had asked earlier. I don’t use air conditioning, so that was fine, and the huts are well built and cute, though noise travels. I splurged on this stay, spending most of my time enjoying the peacefulness, whereas normally I’d stay in dorm rooms.
