The staff were gentle and helpful, and there were no noisy guests late at night, so overall the hotel felt decent. However, the cleaning didn’t reach the finer details.

I wish the standard rate could be a bit lower.

Parking was an issue.

There was a lot to like, and nothing to complain about.

I stayed in a room that had a bedroom, a tatami room, a terrace, and a kitchenette; after dinner I wrapped some matsutake mushrooms I’d bought earlier in the day in foil and grilled them. Without the kitchenette I wouldn’t have been able to eat them, so that was a real plus. The built‑in fridge was a real freezer, not the flimsy one you see in typical business hotels, so I could keep many things cold. From the room I could see both the Southern and Central Alps, and the sunset was beautiful. The building is old, so the bath, sink, and toilet were Showa‑era style, but they were clean and the water came out strong. The chain lock on the door left little room for fingers, so you have to be careful not to get pinched.
