“Tout était parfait !”
Our stay in the Katak villa for four people was absolutely perfect – the spacious, comfy bedrooms opened onto a stunning pool with a lovely view, and the outdoor bathrooms felt magical. Everything looked gorgeous and the hotel services were first‑rate, offering on‑demand shuttles, excellent restaurants, delightful massages, and a sunset yoga session that felt timeless. The only downside was the Mangrove Bay restaurant on the coast, which felt rather drab, looked neglected and didn’t even have beach access.
“Vue extraordinaire”
The place was unusual, perched in the mountains, and the small pool next to our accommodation was stunning. They offered a “Kecak” folk dance show performed by young people from nearby villages, which was extraordinary given the high mountain location and the authenticity of the performers. The restaurant was too expensive for the country.
Great service from the staff. Manager Ketut was an outstanding host who took care of his guests!
“Top ! Séjour reposant”
The property was superb with many services offered. The staff were truly adorable, the massages were great, the views were beautiful, and the pools were lovely. The cleanliness of the sun lounger mattresses needed improvement; they were very dirty (though the staff were very responsive and cleaned them in 15 mjn). The shower pressure was a bit low, but that’s common in Bali. Nothing else worth mentioning.
“Ta ett par dagar här om du vill uppleva Balinesisk kultur och värme.”
The accommodation offered outstanding views, including all nearby restaurants. The food was environmentally conscious, locally sourced, homemade, and organic. On Sumberkima Hill, high standards met local culture and Balinese harmony.
