The rooms are beautiful, cozy, Bavarian, and have a real German vibe. The breakfast, the German‑style inn interior, and the friendly staff were all great.

The hosts were very friendly, the room modern, the house clean, and breakfast tasty – we felt completely at ease. The only thing that didn’t quite appeal to us was the glass bathroom door; we’ve seen more of those in recent hotels and don’t really like them.

Breakfast was excellent and the hosts were wonderfully kind, fulfilling every request and happily sharing local tips. We’d gladly return just for these lovely hosts. The mattresses could have been a bit firmer and higher – they seemed a bit old or too soft for heavier people – and the sofa bed in the living area was also a bit worn and sagging, but otherwise everything was fine and clean.

We stayed as a couple with our dog at this pension and felt completely comfortable. The room was clean, cozy, and spacious, and our dog was warmly welcomed. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and the surroundings were ideal for walks and longer hikes. Breakfast was delicious, regional, and varied. All in all, we had a very pleasant stay and wholeheartedly recommend the pension. We’d like to thank Mr. and Mrs. Menz for the lovely days in Bodenmais and will surely come back.
