We ran into dripping water in both rooms, then we were moved to a dormitory where the AC barely worked, the showers had no pressure, and the toilets weren't cleaned. The locker was tiny, not even enough for a small backpack. When I brought the issues to the owner, she got annoyed and angry, saying there are far better options in Siquijor for the price.

The province vibe was great, and at night it was so quiet you only heard crickets—felt like a grandparents’ house, haha. But there was a lot of dry‑wood termite dust on the floor, so don’t be surprised.

I loved the whole experience – the huge dormitory with two showers and two toilets was perfect, I stayed several nights, the beds were comfortable and the hostel’s location was superb.

The owners are really nice, and it feels like home—especially the owner who treats you like a cool mother. I enjoyed everything, but the water was slow during my stay, though it’s doable; hopefully it’ll be fixed soon.
