The estate is old yet charming, offering breathtaking views that are perfect for escaping daily routines; in the mornings you can hear birds singing and even spot species like Mirlas, herons, copetones, canaries and hummingbirds. Lucía runs the farm, is very kind and helpful, and together with her dog Goofy they make you feel like family, cleaning the rooms daily so they stay tidy. She also cooks wonderfully, so if you don’t plan to go out I suggest ordering lunch and dinner from her. The site sits a little off the main road, but if you have a car or motorbike it’s no problem; traveling with a tour bus like I did, the hotel gives you a contact for a driver who can take you from Sogamoso to the property, since you won’t find taxis or cars in the main square of Pesca, only pricey motor‑taxi rides. Alternatively you can ask Lucía where to get off the bus heading to Pesca and she’ll kindly meet you there and drive you the roughly half‑hour journey, which is scenic all the way. The only downside is the signal is almost non‑existent, although there is Wi‑Fi that sometimes doesn’t reach certain rooms.
