It was clean and the staff were friendly, and the location was great for being close to the bus station and catching the next morning's bus. The downside is it’s far from the city center, so you have to decide if that matters.

This hostel is fantastic; I’d recommend it to everyone. It offers separate rooms, bright and cozy rooms with crisp white linens and comfortable beds. The bathrooms are spotlessly clean, and the staff are pleasant. Upon arrival you’re handed slippers and there’s a dedicated shoe area at the entrance, plus a fully equipped kitchen and a workspace. A nearby transport stop makes it easy to reach the city center.

I stayed here as the first stop for buses entering Almaty from Yining, and it was great. The place is close, you walk along the lake to the nearest building, and there’s a fruit shop right at the entrance. The environment is nice, and check‑in was quiet; the shared area had a few people busy with their own things, so no disturbances. The front desk guy was very helpful, guided me around, spoke English fluently, and answered every question patiently.

Overall decent, especially if you’re using the bus terminal. A noticeable number of guests just “live” at the hostel, which definitely shapes the vibe.

The hostel sits beside a beautiful lake with views of snow‑capped mountains, close to the bus and coach stations, and a few cafés and restaurants nearby. It’s very clean and tidy, and it’s quiet at night. The bathroom lacks a non‑slip mat, so I almost slipped, and the glass is almost transparent, which isn’t ideal for those who value privacy.
