“eenvoudig en prima verblijf. Voldeed aan mijn verwachtingen”
The place was plain, and the yoghurt on the counter was thin.

The location was convenient, right next to the bus stop, and the staff were extremely friendly, but I’ve never paid that much for such a poor room before; everything was old and basic, the shower was like a 10€ hostel (no shower head, the ceiling filter hadn’t been cleaned in a while), the bed or linens smelled moldy, and the walls were thin so you could hear everything outside the room.

The hotel’s architecture and décor give it a distinct personality, the staircase is steep and there’s no lift, yet it’s well preserved and I really enjoyed its vintage feel; it’s a bit overpriced for the room size and other factors, but that’s understandable given current market trends, and overall everything was very good—I’d return.

The price was good for Utrecht, the room and bathroom were clean, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast area was pleasant with many options, and the location was close to public transport and a park—overall quiet; the décor was dated, the corridors and stairs were confusing, and there was a slight musty smell.

The Wi‑Fi was poor; I was on the upper floor and the connection kept dropping.
