Very quiet and really in nature, with a good bed and pillows; basic cutlery is supplied but could be better. The outdoor braai is stunning and offers beautiful views. It’s close to town and Marakele game reserve, and there’s a good wood supply, though more could be provided. Between the hot water “Donkie” and the braai one must budget! The photos showed a waterhole in front of the units with game coming in to drink, but that is non‑existent! The bush is very overgrown. I asked if I could drive around on the farm, and was denied. I did not see a single head of game. There is no fan or air‑con in the unit, so in summer one will die from the heat! It is only September now, and I struggle to sleep in the heat of the Bushveld. The signboard at the entrance is hidden in the grass; one can barely see it.

I was blown away by the beautiful location and the special opportunity to experience the starry night sky. I also appreciated the kindness of the hosts, who provided wood for the fire and a cozy atmosphere. It was a fantastic stay with no negative points to mention.

My stay was a mixed bag; on the one hand, the location was stunning with breathtaking views of the bushveld, and the cottage was neat and clean. The dam was a lovely surprise, offering plenty of fun swimming opportunities. However, I was disappointed with the electricity supply, which was limited to very dim lighting and no plug points, forcing me to charge my electronics in the car. Additionally, the fridge was underperforming, and the pool area didn't match the advertised expectations.

I had an amazing time at this farm, which offered beautiful views from the chalets and a serene off-the-grid experience that allowed my family and me to unwind. We enjoyed seeing various animals, and the outdoor fire pit was a lovely evening spot. The owners were incredibly accommodating and friendly, making our stay even more enjoyable.
