I stayed in a very central spot with a huge room that even had a stressless chair. The room had a tea kettle, and the reception offered coffee and tea. Everything else was fine.

The hotel is very close to the heart of the city, and the Porta Nigra is at the end of the street.

The staff were friendly and the breakfast was lovely, but there was no WiFi in the bedroom.

The location is great, just a few meters from Porta Nigra, the pedestrian zone, the cathedral and the gastronomy street. The room was large and friendly, and the TV sofa was excellent. Breakfast is served in a combined style: a very extensive cheese, ham, sausage platter with a bread basket is placed at the table, orange juice in a carafe can be requested personally at the table, eggs, cereals, fruit, fruit salad, yoghurt, etc. are offered at the buffet for self‑service. In the courtyard there is a private parking lot, very helpful because parking in Trier is tight and expensive. The only downside is that a supermarket is right next to part of the hotel; if you like sleeping with the window open, the delivery at 6.00 am can be annoying. When checking in, ask for a quieter section of the hotel or close the excellent sound‑proof windows.
