The reception welcomed us warmly and the spot was good with a nice view of Volos and the surroundings, but our downstairs room in the annex needed urgent maintenance: the toilet kept running even after turning off the tap, part of the shower wall was missing and very old, the mattress was thin and unsuitable for a 3‑star hotel, and the heating system caused loud vibrations every 10 minutes, stopping around 00:00 and again at 5:00 in the morning. I had to use earplugs for the first time after visiting nine places in Greece. The building has potential if updated with better technology.

The breakfast was excellent.

The location was very pretty, the rooms were rustic with wrought‑iron furniture, and some breakfast items were nice; the staff were friendly. The view was wonderful. However, the cabin door was missing, the water tank toilet was broken and water leaked constantly, wasting a lot of water. The bathroom radiator was rusty, the towels were damp, and the wrought‑iron furniture, while beautiful, needed dusting—see the table in the room photo. The breakfast could use a small improvement, like adding a variety of feta cheese since we’re in Greece. I’ve attached photos for all the issues mentioned.
