The Daiso, Matsumoto Kiyoshi, and Famiresto shops are very close. However, the Nishiaraidaishi‑nishi station is nearby, but downtown is about an hour and a half away.

I liked the room a lot; it was a bit small but had everything needed for a pleasant stay in Tokyo. The hallway outside the room had a bad odor, like plumbing.

The room, bathroom, and toilet were all dirty. The guest house offered very little. I had booked a room for two people, but nowhere was it stated that one of us had to sleep on a mini bed separately. No message from the host to check if we arrived fine, and when I complained about the dirty bathrooms the reply was “someone will come on 10 October to check.” It was actually the 8th. The bathrooms were truly, truly filthy. The neighbors were noisy and dirty late into the night. No checks, nothing. Only one shower for ten people, one men’s bathroom and one women’s. I can only imagine how cramped it must have been after everyone left. And no, I’m not supposed to clean it myself; I paid for a service.

The place was really nice. Our room was very clean and spacious, with one bed sliding under the other—a clever use of space. Despite some older comments, we found the bed comfortable. The common area was a good spot to relax, and the owner was kind and helpful, even letting us use the address to receive a package—thank you for that. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. While there isn’t much to do nearby, local restaurants and supermarkets are within walking distance. The biggest drawback is the location. Being outside the city center, train fares add up quickly and can cancel out the savings from staying farther out. The kitchen was poorly equipped, with barely any utensils or cutlery; you’ll likely need to bring or buy your own if you plan to cook. Since it’s a share house, the experience depends on other guests. Ours weren’t bad, but not very considerate: leaving lights on, not cleaning up, and having loud conversations in the kitchen around midnight. Lastly, the shower wasn’t great. It had a persistent humid smell, and the drain clogged easily due to a built‑in filter. Not dirty, but less pleasant than the rest of the otherwise clean house.
