A really cool alternative to a standard room! The bathroom was great and the small hot pool was nice. The place was very clean. Unfortunately, the accommodation has nothing to do with the many flies that seem to swarm the whole town because of the many farmers.

The lodging was conveniently located for the night climb of Mount Batur. The guide came to see us two hours after our arrival to explain everything and kept us well supervised during the climb. The beds were comfortable, and it was easy to communicate with the manager via messages before we arrived. The reception was handled by two people who didn’t speak English and used a phone translator to try to communicate, but they were clueless. Guide? Dinner for the evening? Information translated from the phone: between 18 and 21 h. Breakfast? The “boss” was unreachable. He eventually replied by message to tell me the guide would come. At night the restaurant was closed and we were asked to choose for breakfast, but the options were very limited! When we returned in the morning, she hadn’t done the shopping, so breakfast was delayed for more than an hour. The “boss” was never seen! There were a lot of cockroaches in the room.

The glamping site is beautifully designed, set in a lush garden with well‑equipped, very comfortable tents. Each tent features its own volcanic hot tub that you can fill with fresh volcanic water whenever you wish. Breakfast options are superb, and the staff lit a lovely bonfire for us at night. No complaints – everything was excellent. Just remember to bring warm clothing; it can get chilly at night in Batur’s caldera.

The staff were friendly and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The view of Mount Batur and the lake is fantastic. However, flies in the early morning make it difficult to enjoy breakfast peacefully.

The garden is lovely with a hedge and a private hot spring, and the tent has a wooden floor and a large outdoor area with a warm shower. The hot spring isn’t very hot, more warm, and there can be slow processing of breakfast and dinner orders during rush hour. Flies in the area are annoying, but the hotel can’t do anything about that.
