“Great location and very organized with space available”
The spot was quiet, but the bed was so plush against the wall that getting out of the corner was a struggle.

The vintage vibe of the place was nice, but the room was so tiny that “cramped” doesn’t even cover it.

Everything was spotless and super convenient; we stayed the night before heading out on our cruise.

The Lotus Galveston is a perfect, no‑frills, 150‑year‑old guest house in Galveston; all rooms sit on the first floor with minimal stairs to the porch. I’ve stayed here before and know not to expect a dresser, armoire, or closet—there’s plenty of space for suitcases and a standing rack for clothes. Every room has a shower, though the quirky sinks, medicine cabinets, and towel racks lack vanities. What you do get is a very clean, lovely room with high ceilings, comfortable beds, responsive staff (both on‑site and online), upfront and reasonable pricing, keyless entry to the hotel and rooms, and a parking pass. It’s just a few minutes’ walk to the Grand, The Strand, a bus stop, and a trolley station in season—excellent location. This is definitely my go‑to place to stay. The only thing I didn’t like was that the refrigerator and freezer in the coffee bar area could have been larger.

The photos of our room were misleading; the room was super small, and the bathroom sink was too tiny with no counter space—overall, the room was extremely small and not what we expected.
