“I don’t understand why I was put in a dirty parcel damage room to later keep my deposit of 250 $”
Walking in, the place smelled pleasant and the breakfast area was spacious, with hanging décor outside. The cracked window looked unappealing and the hotel didn’t honor the accommodation terms discussed both nights. Staff members Moe and Kim were involved. I was assigned room 118, which had a tub with a black substance that looked like mycotoxins. Kitchen staff apparently cross‑contaminated the hot breakfast with allergens from eggs that should have been stored separately. In room 119 the hot tub only had hot water twice during my stay, and it wasn’t cleaned properly. There was a lot of dust and dirt in the tub’s filter and drain, so I had to buy my own cleaning supplies because the facility only used acid solutions, which felt unsanitary. No disabled safety mats were provided for the floor or tub, and my shower chair was taken during the transition. The refrigerator seemed broken, lacking a shelf, and the exposed wire from the outlet next to my closet under the iPod station was not child‑safety approved. None of the appliances were cleaned upon arrival, and staff didn’t clean the appliance area or refill my kpods or complimentary snacks after each cleaning. There was no staff available to warm food, and maintenance was careless and scarce, especially at night when 24/7 service was expected. The disabled elevator was difficult to use, and housekeeping seemed to discriminate against me for being allergic to all dairy, forcing me to take what they offered after explaining my allergies.
“My resident was near this hotel when I lived on Riverbay.”
The personal service was wonderful, especially the breakfast. I’ll be back next year. I have absolutely nothing to complain about; the front office was very helpful whenever I needed anything.
The room was clean, but the assistant manager was unfair; we saw him standing in line to check in and he didn’t say “may I help you.” A white man came in to check in and asked him, “could he help him?” I think he was being racist, and he shouldn’t even be working in customer service.
“The hotel staff was very nice, breakfast was good, the room was very clean, but the bed was broken.”
The edge of the bed felt like it might snap in half when I sat in the middle, so I had to sleep in a particular way to avoid the noise of a potential collapse. When I mentioned the issue, I was told to contact the third‑party booking platform; the hotel staff took no responsibility for the obviously broken bed.
The employees were kind and helpful, rooms were clean, and the location was ideal for visiting the zoo with my family.
