Nestled in a restored Victorian building, The Hostel sits opposite Haymarket Train Station and a ten‑minute walk from Princes Street. Its dorms boast large windows, high ceilings, and modern bunk beds with fresh bedding. Original Jade Carrera artwork decorates rooms, while shared bathrooms remain clean. 24/7 free Wi‑Fi, a communal lounge with digital TV, board games, a modern kitchen, and an outdoor patio enhance the experience.

The room was quiet and located in a nice area, but it was filthy. The kitchen only opens at 8 am, which is far too late, and the doors lock so you can't bring food in outside those hours. The rooms are small and cramped, and the locker I was given was broken.

Not that bad, it was good enough for me as a solo traveller. Checkin time is until 00:00 and if you come late, you will be charged £10 for each hour

I booked a room for two but after just one night we left because the place was unbearable. The bathroom had a single sink meant for 12 people, the windows were hot and sweaty, and hair was everywhere in the toilet and shower. When we arrived, hair was already on the bunk bed, the mattress felt like it had been through a lot, and the beds in the 12‑women dorm were loud and squeaky. We felt sick and couldn't sleep at all. The only bright spot was the check‑in lady who was very friendly.

The common room was good, but the bathroom facilities were not.
