“Not what I expected but needed to get some sleep”

It was overpriced for just a place to sleep for the night. The clerk was rude and had a hard time understanding what he was saying.

“A quick overnight stay! Arriving late and leaving early! Had a long road trip behind us and another”

No breakfast! The bed was hard and difficult to get comfortable. The room was cold and there were no extra blankets. Staff were limited. The hotel is near the freeway but in a run‑down neighborhood. A nearby gas station was nice, but driving the round‑about was crazy! The same issues are mentioned above. If I can’t say something nice, should I not say it? Not like the pictures or write‑up on the computer program!

“It was a very nice affordable room, very clean and good location right off the freeway.”

Checking in was straightforward, and they still accept cash, which is a relief since many places refuse it now, a situation I find awful. However, the front desk man would step outside for a smoke break and the smoke sometimes drifted back inside, leaving a noticeable scent in the hallway.

“Horrible stay waited to check in, keys wouldn’t work and waited for an hour before they finally gave a new room. New roo”

The hotel was conveniently located right off the interstate, but everything that followed from the moment I stepped inside was disappointing.
