“Overnight business stay”
The breakfast was good, but the single room felt depressing.
“Penny pinchers”
The view was nice, but £15 for breakfast was a robbery when I only wanted a runny boiled egg and toast. The entertainment wasn’t advertised, and we were not told at check‑in that a wedding would be held every Saturday morning; the music from the lounge woke us at 7 am and went on until 11 pm, with no consideration. It was supposed to be a relaxing break but it wasn’t; I wouldn’t book again. Everything was extra: parking £10 a day, and if you stay longer you pay £10 per hour—money, money, money.
“Such a shame as location is great by the sea but a long walk into either Torquay or Paignton in its day would of been a”
The hotel is right on the seafront, but it feels very dated.
“A lovely reasonably priced hotel in a key location”
The location is lovely and booking was easy; the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, and the place was very clean. However, the rooms feel a bit dated, with wallpaper peeling from the ceiling and mould in the bath tiles.
“Friendly stuff. Great breakfast. Would recommend to family and friends. I would stay here again”
Everything was perfect, nothing to complain about.
