The staff were very accommodating and friendly, and I really appreciated how comfortable they made me feel; Michaela immediately recognized my physical challenges and arranged to make my stay easy and very enjoyable, and her attentiveness and willingness to go above and beyond stood out; all the staff were wonderful and we really enjoyed our stay, and I’m looking forward to our next visit! The only complaint was everything.

“Good Dive Center on the property”

We chose Rio y Mar Hotel for its great value and the dive center right on the property, though it’s a long walk from Coron Town, so it suits those who don’t mind the distance. Our cabin offered a stunning sea view, and the pier—where guests board and disembark by boat—was my favorite spot, complete with a solid bar for a chilled beer while taking in the scenery. Even though the monsoon brought heavy rain, I still rate the experience 10/10 thanks to the friendly staff, relaxed vibe, and overall memorable stay. I’d love to return when the skies are clear.

The location is beautiful, the staff are kind and genuinely friendly, always going the extra mile, keeping you busy all day. Additional activities and required meals (lunch and dinner) were very pricey and should be budgeted for ahead of time.
