The place was clean, but I thought it was closer to Old Port than it actually is, and the price‑to‑quality ratio wasn’t great.
“To short staffed.”
The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were comfortable and well‑furnished. Breakfast was only okay, the restaurant was short‑staffed with just one server, and although the service was pleasant, there simply weren’t enough people on duty.
“Was not crazy about the city, but hotel was in a great location to shops and restaurants.”
The hotel was clean and the staff were great, and there was nothing negative to mention.
“Excellent Place to Stay in Portland!”
The location was superb—right next to restaurants, shops and the water—and the staff were fantastic; the room was cozy and spotless. Every morning we had a tasty breakfast, and we liked everything!
“Lovely room and location but expect confusing charges on checkout”
The room was lovely, a decent size with a nice view of Portland’s skyline, and the location was great—just a short walk from Shipyard Brewery, the water, the narrow‑gauge railways, and plenty of food spots. The shower was good and the bed was extremely comfortable, so I slept well. However, the explanation of the charges was dodgy and confusing; we were told car parking was $30 but were forced to pay $40 for valet, and a $100 incidentals fee was added at check‑in with a promise of a refund 3‑5 days after checkout. When we checked out, we were told the money would be used for a tax payment, a food voucher, and parking we’d already paid for separately. We demanded a refund, received an even more confusing itemized bill, and ended up only getting $55 back—feeling the whole process was shady and manipulative.
