“Good price, handy location and welcoming staff”

The hotel sits in a good spot just a short drive from the main Newport Beach peninsula. We took the free Newport Beach weekend trolley that stops behind the hotel over the weekend. There was plenty of parking and the price was reasonable. The staff were very friendly and the reception area was bright and airy. The price was good for the location, especially for us who only used the room to sleep and shower while we had so much to do out and about. It could use a bit of updating—carpets and such.

The location in Newport Beach was ideal for excursions. The facilities were quite good. It was a pity that the good breakfast was eaten from paper plates.

The room was very large and clean, equipped with all comforts. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was super abundant and rich. There was ample parking, very convenient.

The hotel was very functional with partial views of the Newport Beach marina. Free parking was available. The breakfast was truly very complete, a quality buffet with plenty of choices. The breakfast room offered partial marina views. The pool and jacuzzi were very pleasant. The outdoor lounge overlooking the pool was nicely decorated, providing shade from the sun or the evening chill. Coffee, tea, and infusions were self‑served in the lobby. The staff were very kind. The room was clean with comfortable bedding. Walking to a very nice restaurant with a terrace directly on the marina—Rusty Pelican—was possible. The room décor was a bit dated but gave a certain charm. It was impossible to walk to the nice areas of Newport Beach.

I liked the location. The rooms weren’t that clean, the shower had no water pressure—just a drizzle, the beds were horrible. My son is disabled, and when we checked in the staff said we could use the entrance elevator, but once on the floor there was no ADA pathway. We had to go back down and use the back elevator to reach our room.
