“Booking.com me roubaram”

I booked five nights for the Songkran festival, arrived in the middle of the event, and found no room available. Two staff members—one Russian, one from Bangladesh—both smelled strongly of alcohol, tried to sell me another room at four times the normal price, and the reservation manager warned me that one of the attendants was a fugitive who had killed more than ten people in Bangladesh. I spoke with the manager, asked them to check the messages, but they did absolutely nothing. I had to scramble for another place far away from that expensive spot because it was a weekend, during the festival, and late at night. I was exhausted, hungry, and sleepy, and they literally gave up on everything. They still haven’t refunded me, and I’m warning others not to trust them in such situations. Their indifference left me stranded in a foreign country during a festival, tired, hungry, and asleep, and they did nothing to help. The platform is supposed to mediate between host and guest, but they did nothing.

“I was scammed”

I was scammed big time. I booked the hostel for 29th April to 30th April 2026, booking no 6969394846. On arrival, an Indian staff member told me to cancel because the owner was not accepting bookings, so I did so and paid a cancellation fee of 205.92 BHT. As soon as I canceled, the same person offered me a stay for one night at 400 BHT cash. I had to book another place for that night. I’ll try to get my cancellation fee back from the booking platform. The venue is still listed online as I write this review.

When I arrived, they told me there was no room and asked me to cancel the reservation; I’m still waiting for a refund.
