The staff are extraordinarily friendly, always eager to help, and they can communicate perfectly in English. The rooms are nicely furnished, but they have two major drawbacks: 1) The entire wall with the front door is glass, which is transparent. At the lower end is frosted glass, but it isn’t pulled up far enough and isn’t opaque. So if you don’t want to be seen by everyone on the central path outside all rooms, you have to pull the thick curtains, which removes all daylight (our two rooms had no other windows than that one glass wall). It’s like a shop window or a blackout. 2) The old building with its imposing roof structure has charm, but it also emits a constant faint musty smell, which is especially unpleasant when you first enter the room (you get used to it quickly).
