They really listen to guests’ needs, even arranging vegan dinner and breakfast on request. The building feels a bit dated, and the windows don’t fully block out light at night.

We stayed at Hot Springs Inn and it felt more like being welcomed into a warm house than a typical hotel; Shingai and his family took great care of us, the meals were exceptional, the rooms were spotless, and sharing a private Onsen was a highlight.

The hosts were fantastic, and all the services were great. The private baths/onsens were easily accessible and truly luxurious. The meals were of very high quality, offering a wide range of Japanese cuisine at dinner and a generous all‑Japanese breakfast.

The staff’s friendliness, the ryokan bath, and the drink service were all excellent, but the shared toilet and washroom were a downside.
