“Vriendelijk hotel”
The location in the Old Town is excellent, though no taxis can stop right outside (the drivers will walk you there with your luggage). It’s great to have everything within walking distance. I had a spacious room with a terrace overlooking the Flame Towers, and there was a hot tub on the terrace. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent in quality (others find the choices limited) but it suited me fine. Every day a pitcher of filtered water was brought, and you could still ask for another pitcher. Room service is available on request, which makes sense – why have it every day if you already have plenty? You just have to ask (though the reception also offered it actively). I enjoyed the stay for the atmosphere and the small‑scale feel. Be realistic about this hotel and don’t expect big luxury, as the price reflects that. I expected the room to be soundproof (I had read about other rooms) and had no problems. Maybe the door was soundproof, but the walls were not. You can hear every word if there are guests in another room (two of the eight nights). The air conditioner is a bit noisy, but you could consider it “white noise” if you hear the neighbors.
