Central, authentic, clean.

The location was good. The room itself was in poor condition: it smelled like a closed closet, the parquet floor was dusty everywhere, and it seemed the room had flooded for some reason. The door latch was nearly hanging, and we called someone who only tightened the two screws that were there, because the third was missing! The breakfast was average.

The hotel’s location is very good, right in the city centre, which makes it very convenient for exploring the area on foot. Practically everything is nearby. The room was clean and the breakfast was good. The biggest issue was the parking. Before booking, I specifically asked about the parking mentioned in the offer. The hotel informed me that they cooperate with a nearby parking facility, although the price was already higher than originally indicated — and, unsurprisingly, we ended up paying the maximum rate. Since the hotel described this as a “cooperation,” I asked whether they could reserve a parking space for us. Apparently, they could not. We were even told that during busy hours there might be no space available at all, and instead we were given a Greek phone number and advised to contact the parking company ourselves. In my understanding, a cooperation between a hotel and a parking facility normally means that the hotel is actually able to assist its guests in securing parking, not simply provide the phone number of a nearby parking lot. Had we known this beforehand, we would not have booked this hotel. Another uncomfortable detail was that the parking staff required us to leave the car key with them. For guests with comprehensive car insurance, this can potentially become problematic if anything happens to the vehicle after the key has voluntarily been handed over to a third party. The reception experience was equally underwhelming. The staff seemed completely uninterested. We were simply handed the room key without any explanation of where our room was or any basic information about the hotel. We were also given a form to select our breakfast. Since we stayed for two nights, I asked how we should choose breakfast for the following day. Only then was it explained that we were apparently expected to choose in advance, followed by the question of whether we simply wanted the same breakfast on both days. None of these issues individually would have been dramatic, but together they created the impression that guest service was more of an inconvenience than a priority

Close to the main shopping area, excellent customer service, room‑service breakfast was a nice touch with plenty of options, and we could eat on the balcony. The rooms were very spacious. The shower was broken, the room felt a bit old and poorly maintained, and the PowerPoint outlet in the bathroom was broken.
