The dinner and breakfast buffets offered a huge selection, and drinks like beer, sake and wine were all‑you‑can‑drink. The tables were cleared quickly after meals, making dining very pleasant. We stayed with my grandchild and another adult in a very spacious room, and it was great to see the castle right nearby. The only thing missing was a razor in the bathroom.

After checking in I slipped into the lounge for a coffee and was pleasantly surprised that everything was complimentary, which felt soothing. The morning and evening meals were elegantly prepared, so tasty that I kept going back for seconds, and while I was out fetching extra ingredients the staff cleared the dishes for me, letting me relax and enjoy my food—thanks for that. The room’s climate control was confusing and felt chilly; a manual or guide would have helped.

The food here was absolutely delicious, but what really threw me off was when our beer suddenly ran out mid-meal. Still, the meal itself was well worth the visit.

The kids loved the buffet, and I was impressed by the quality of the bathroom amenities. The building itself is a bit old, but the lounge area with its open layout and drink service made up for it, and the views were simply breathtaking.
